Castle (Château) Malted Grains Black Malt
The darkest malted barley. Torrefied at up to 235°C.
Enhances the aroma of character beers by producing a more stringent flavour than other coloured malts. Imparts a slight burnt or smoky flavour.

Beer Styles: Very colored beers, Stouts, Porters
Suggested Usage Levels: 3 to 6%
Moisture: 4.5%
Extract Dry Basis: 73%
Lovibond: 431.8 to 525.6
